Mobile Crisis Units (by County)
Mobile crisis is an important service provided in each county to respond to the needs of folks experiencing mental health crises who may be better served by a mental health professional at their own location, rather than by the police, EMT, or at the emergency room. These services are NOT appropriate for folks who need medical attention, or when immediate lifesaving support is needed by calling 911 (ie, if someone is holding a weapon or has ingested a dangerous substance).

San Francisco Mobile Crisis Team (aka Comprehensive Crisis Services): (415) 970-4000. The phones are staffed 24/7. Professionals are onsite 830am-11pm Mon-Sat, and available for mobile assessment in the home/community.
Alameda Countywide 24/7 support and dispatch: call 988 or (800) 309-2131. Mobile Crisis response may be available during certain hours.
